Broken Seat...

The backing to the drivers seat on my e36 BMW 3 series has become loose. The two screws at the bottom are no longer attached to the plastic backing because of cracks in the plastic. How easy would it be to put in a new seat? Phoned a few breakers but none of them had one and they didn't seem optimistic. Where else would I find one?

very straightforward to remove but make sure it has the correct seat belt receptacle or swop the one from your existing seat to ensure SRS operation. Valdas Motor confidence would be able to look after you

It's a convertible. I have the screwdriver - but just wonder where to find spare trim for the rear of the seat!?

    Based in Belfast, Derry.

according to the parts catalog any seat back from any e36 will fit. saloon/coupe and estate. The seat frame is obviously not the same

I have one but I'm in Cork. Might fit in a parcel motel, I will check the size later.

I think its part number 4 I've after - 329 dollars sounds like a lot :/ Spoke to Auto Trim in Belfast and they will have a look at it later this week. Thanks for the responses. How much would I be looking for a new seat?

Hopefully you can see what's happened from the photo. Still haven't had any joy finding a replacement and looking for ideas about how to fix.
