Sailing/Boat Trips in Dublin Area.

    Hi folks,

So our holidays have changed from heading to France to staying closer to home due to a couple of appointments in Dublin which we can't reschedule. This means that we'll have a week based near Dublin, possibly in Wicklow or thereabouts, before we meander our way down West Cork & Kerry way the week after.
So I was wondering if there may be any organised sailing trips that we could sign up for in the Dublin Bay, Wicklow coastal areas?
I can recall there being a trip around Dublin Bay on a Galway Hooker a number of years ago, perhaps this is still possible.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks all!!

There's Dublin Bay Cruises http://www.dublinbaycruises.com/ which does one-way jaunts across the bay, and up the Liffey - the idea is you get on one side of the bay, then get the dart back to where you started. A nice way to spend a day by all accounts - I haven't done it myself, but my sister and the family did it and gave good reviews.

Not sure if there's any organised sailboat trips - you could try giving Irish Offshore Sailing a shout http://www.irishoffshoresailing.com/ - he's a sailing school first and foremost, but if he has a down day might be persuaded to take passengers out for a blast. Or not! But he also might know of anyone else based in DL or elsewhere who might be up for that.
