Hey, I have NCT next month, just wondering - My drivers door is a bit jammed, I mean you need to apply a bit of more strength to pull it open, will that fail NCT?

Also where can I buy 4 wheel bolts online? I mean not 4 bolts for 40 euro but somewhat decent price.

    Car is WV Golf 2001.

It could depend of how badly jammed it is and why, e.g corrosion around the hinges, but it doesn't sound like the door opens and closes normally which is a fail.

If it does fail then it's a visual retest which (assuming no other failure requires a test lane) will be free if you do it within 30 days.

Well when I bought this car it was like that and I don't know full history behind that but worth mentioning is - car has two keys, one for ignition and one for keys/boot.

The door lock area also has dent, so I can only assume someone smacked door against a wall when opening it pretty hard or something.

Mechanism doesn't make any clicking or ticking noises.

Go to any scrap yard and you'll get yourself 4 wheel bolts for a fiver.

As long as it operates it should be fine, at the very worst it would only be a visual fail(no fee)
As for the wheel nuts try a vw garage might have a few lying around, failing that a local breakers yard will have them for next to nothing.
