    Lads and lasses,

Walking the WW in 3 weeks with my fiance and 2 friends. Planned for 7 days. Combination of B&B and wild camping. So we will have full gear packed.

We need to get back from Clonegal to Dublin. This is the biggest challenge of the WW so it seems. :D

I have read that 2 miles from Clonegal to Bunclody or Kildavin currently Bus Eireann Route 5 serves Dublin infrequently. Apparently currently as I heard they have announced plans to cut this service.

I checked for other means to get back and it is basically all a combination of Taxi, Bus, Train, in any order. Total cost about 20-30 euros, duration 3-3.5 hours.

I think a taxi back will cost us around 200 euro.

Is there anything I am missing because as it stands, I am thinking of taking a tax back for only 20 euro per head more and only 80 minutes to get back home.

Weird stuff, walking 130km in 7 days, only to get back in a taxi in 80 minutes :D

The one and only time we went all the way to the end of the WW at Clonegal, we asked the barman in Osbourne's to get us a cab to Bunclody, where we had a room booked in the Millrace Hotel. The following morning we got a taxi to Enniscorthy where we got the train back to Dublin. Can't remember the total cost, I'm afraid.

Maybe contact one of the baggage transfer companies that operate on the Way and see if they can offer a solution?

Yeah, thats possible and then a taxi home from Dublin. Thanks.

Does anyone have details for the baggage transfer companies ?

Why not start at Clonegal and end up back in Dublin, might make things easier and will make the ending more enjoyable?

You've researched the options well - I'm afraid public transport in south Leinster is not great. Four of you with full gear - check with the taxi driver first in case someone has to be left behind!! :)
