    €502 in Littlewoods...maybe get some discount off that too....

    It's very average price-wise, and 12GB of ram is ridiculous overkill, you will never need more than half of that with a laptop of that type.

    For example at the moment Dell sell the Inspiron 15 with i5-5200 and 8GB ram for €499 delivered to you.

    Thanks, i thought the more gigs the more speed and it cud last me 3 or 4 years instead of 2 perhaps....

    I take it the i5 processor is better than.the i3??

    No, for casual use, the stage at which you need 12Gb of RAM will be long after the rest of the laptop is totally obsolete.

    Yes, the Dell i5 is a brand new 5th gen i5, the Acer is the previous generation i3. It's much better.
