Is this finishing up after TLC or what's the story? It's been great fun playing each week man.

Yeah the week of the TLC PPV will be the final week.

Well thank you for running the game all this time man, it's been great for maintaining interest.

Would 100% agree with stereo there despite me forgetting to set my lineup today.

Hopefully the authority do one of their trying to screw the babyface dealies by having reigns run a gauntlet or something though and my mistake proves genius

I could hit the jackpot if The League Of Nations & The New Day take this match in a few minutes. I regularly forgot to change my squad at a few different stages of the game as well.

    2 gameweeks remaining...

    220px-WWE_Raw_logo.png

As we move on from the events of last week which saw LeeJM pick up the first achievement of the game by winning the Fantasy Cup, we now find ourselves just 13 days away from the start of the final week; and as a result each show between now and the end takes on huge importance. Raw this week had some very curious booking and it has led to some interesting developments in our league.

I'll begin this update with the highest scores for the show and go on to highlight where it has left our league table. Read on for more...

*Note - Raw spoilers below. Do not read further if you do not want news of Raw.*

    Monday Night Raw scores

    A Brad Maddox Guy.............25 pts
    linvoysblues.......................25 pts
    Stereomaniac.....................21 pts
    Cheese Wagstaff.................19 pts
    Bounty Hunter....................18 pts

    LeeJM................................13 pts
    Scavenger XIII....................8 pts
    Zemuppet...........................4 pts
    Hashtag_Heel......................2 pts
    thebostoncrab......................1 pt

    Raw Fallout

The highest score for Raw this week is shared between A Brad Maddox Guy and linvoysblues. A Brad Maddox Guy did well through Del Rio's two wins and wins for Charlotte and Reigns, but especially through his decision to stick the captaincy on Rusev which was the best captaincy call of the week; linvoysblues had the captaincy on Reigns who also did well, and had wins too through Charlotte, Del Rio, as well as Dolph Ziggler.

The average score for Raw this week was 14 points.

And now let's see what effect it has had on the standings...

    Gameweek 23 Standings (Post-Raw)

    1. Cheese Wagstaff................................................................652 points

    2. Bounty Hunter...................................................................628 points

    3. A Brad Maddox Guy............................................................627 points

    4. Mr.Nice Guy......................................................................625 points

    League Fallout

Congrats are again in order for Cheese Wagstaff who begins the week by edging another point in front. The league leader doesn't have to score spectacularly in the final weeks; as long as he gets solid scores he will see himself over the line. This was a good start for him in that sense. How will Smackdown affect matters though?

The big news from Raw concerns just below top spot as A Brad Maddox Guy makes things even more congested by moving ahead of myself and Fantasy Cup winner LeeJM to take third spot with myself and LeeJM slipping to fourth and fifth respectively. There are only 6 points separating second place and fifth spot so the table may look a lot different after Smackdown.

    Raw results

    Dolph Ziggler defeated Tyler Breeze

    Ryback defeated Rusev via count-out

The Dudley Boyz and Tommy Dreamer defeated The Wyatt Family

    Alberto Del Rio defeated Goldust

The Usos vs The Lucha Dragons ended in a double D.Q.

    Sasha Banks defeated Brie Bella

Roman Reigns defeated Sheamus via D.Q.

    Charlotte defeated Becky Lynch

Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, King Barrett, Rusev and The New Day defeated Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and The Usos

    200px-Del_rio_cross_armbar.jpg

Del Rio was the best guy to have this week as he picked up two wins on the show. At one point he was one of the most popular guys to have but his popularity has waned and just 3 squads have him currently. Will you be getting him in for the final weeks?

This new League of Nations stable could make the likes of Del Rio, Barrett and Rusev more attractive options. There was no Neville or Kevin Owens on Raw this week but perhaps Smackdown will showcase these two.

    New players

Anyone who wishes to play along before the game concludes is welcome to do so. Just post up a seven-person squad and we will allocate you points level with the lowest score in the league.

That concludes the Raw update. On we go to Smackdown...

I aim to have the Smackdown update posted shortly but before that I want to update the rosters in what will probably be the final update before the game ends.

Joining the game as a mid-tier option is ECW favourite Tommy Dreamer.

Dreamer looks to be hanging around with the Dudley Boyz until the TLC PPV at least so if you want him he's now available.

Smackdown has come and gone and we find ourselves at the end of Gameweek #23. And with the Fantasy League tournament concluding in a fortnight's time, every point right now is precious.

I'll begin by revealing the highest scores for Smackdown and then go on update the league table. Read on for more...

    Smackdown Fallout

Well I said after Raw that Cheese Wagstaff didn't need spectacular scores in the final weeks to stay on top; he just needed to notch up solid scores. And what does he do? He goes and grabs himself a spectacular score of course!

Wins for Roman Reigns, Tyler Breeze and his captain Big E brought home most of the points.

And now here is what it means for our league:

    Gameweek 23 Standings

    1. Cheese Wagstaff................................................................669 points

    2. Bounty Hunter...................................................................643 points

    League Fallout

Immense credit must go to the league leader Cheese Wagstaff whose remarkable run of form continues. At a time when other players are looking to make gains, he continues to extend his lead; and he finishes the week with a lead of 26 points.

In second place, after weeks and weeks of congestion, Bounty Hunter pushes out and creates some daylight between himself and his rivals below; is BH now the best hope to try and thwart Cheese Wagstaff's merciless march towards the title?

The only climber from Smackdown is LeeJM who joins yours truly in fourth spot.

    Smackdown results

    Tyler Breeze defeated Neville

Brie Bella defeated Becky Lynch via D.Q.

The New Day defeated The Usos and Dean Ambrose

    Bray Wyatt defeated D-Von Dudley

Roman Reigns defeated Sheamus, King Barrett, Rusev and Alberto Del Rio via count-out

    270px-Bray_Wyatt_is_creepy.jpg

It's a rare appearance and win for Bray Wyatt on Smackdown. No player has Bray in their ranks (probably due to the fact it's a gamble since you never know whether he'll appear or not) but at this late stage maybe it's worth gambling and getting him in?

Surprisingly there is no appearance on Raw or Smackdown for the most popular signing Kevin Owens.

Here are the performers who were the best options for Gameweek #23:

Top points scorers for Gameweek 23

    1. The New Day 8 points

    2. Alberto Del Rio 7 points

    3. Roman Reigns 7 points

    Note - appearance points included

The New Day were the hot ticket to have this week with the mid-tier act picking up wins on Raw and Smckdown. It was a good return to form for the group since they had no wins last week.

    On to Gameweek #24...

    Deadline

The deadline for everyone will be before the commencement of Monday Night Raw, so you have tonight, all weekend, plus Monday to make transfers and/or submit your squad.

    Transfers and Captaincy

You can make up to 3 transfers to your squad each week, if you wish. These must be from the same tier. For example, a top tier guy for a top tier guy; a mid-tier guy for a mid-tier guy.

Please outline who you are transferring out and transferring in when posting your squads to make it easier for me to follow.

And don't forget to choose a captain who will score you double points.

    New players

Anyone who wishes to play along before the game concludes is welcome to do so. Just post up a seven-person squad and we will allocate you points level with the lowest score in the league.

    Good Luck

We have two shows next week and then we end with a final week containing four shows (TLC PPV, Raw, Smackdown and NXT: London). It is impossible to know how many points will be at stake, but last week when we had the Survivor Series PPV several players scored between 55 and 60 points in total for the week.

Therefore there should be a lot of points to play for in the final week of the contest but for them to make any difference players will need to have a strong week in Gameweek #24 to set themselves up. That means Gameweek #24 is crucial in its own right.

Choose your strategies well and make those gains. Gameweek #24, the penultimate week, is now open for business.

Here are the most popular picks for this, the game's penultimate week...
    Popular trends - G.W. 24

    Most popular Top Tier picks

    1. Kevin Owens 11

    2. Roman Reigns 9

    3. Dean Ambrose 7

    Most popular Mid-Tier picks

    1. Neville 6

    3. Jimmy Uso 3

    Most popular Bottom Tier picks

    1. Kalisto 10

    2. Sin Cara 2

    3. Bo Dallas 1

Owens, Reigns and Ambrose remain the three most popular top-tier picks, although Del Rio's ownership has risen and he finds himself just behind with 6 teams having him this week. In the mid-tier section Jimmy Uso earns the support of 3 squads this week (his brother Jey is in two squads). Can the Usos deliver?

Unsurprisingly, there is no change in the bottom-tier category.

Good luck for the week ahead. We will learn a lot this week, I suspect.

    1 gameweek remaining...

    220px-WWE_Raw_logo.png

Raw is complete and that means we are halfway through this the penultimate week of the competition. The goal is straightforward: chase down the formidable league leader Cheese Wagstaff. How did Raw fare for the leader and everyone else? Read on to find out.

I'll begin by first revealing the scores for Raw and then the latest in the league table...

*Note - Raw spoilers below. Do not read further if you do not want news of Raw.*

    Monday Night Raw scores

    A Brad Maddox Guy.............28 pts
    Cheese Wagstaff.................24 pts
    LeeJM...............................23 pts
    Mr.Nice Guy.......................23 pts
    Bounty Hunter....................22 pts

    Scavenger XIII...................18 pts
    Stereomaniac.....................13 pts
    Hashtag_Heel.......................9 pts
    thebostoncrab......................9 pts
    Zemuppet............................4 pts

    Raw Fallout

He had the highest score for Raw last week and he has managed it again: A Brad Maddox Guy gets the top score. Wins for Sasha Banks, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Jack Swagger, plus his captaincy choice Kalisto, brought home the big haul.

Close behind him, however, is the league leader Cheese Wagstaff. I must admit my heart sank a little after the first match where Reigns (his captain), Ambrose, and The Usos were victorious. That win alone brought the league leader 13 points. That could prove to be a really key result in the game.

The average score for Raw was 18 points.

Here's how it affects our league...

    Gameweek 24 Standings (Post-Raw)

    1. Cheese Wagstaff................................................................693 points

    2. Bounty Hunter...................................................................665 points

    3. A Brad Maddox Guy............................................................663 points

    4. LeeJM...............................................................................655 points

    = Mr.Nice Guy.......................................................................655 points

    5. DM_7...............................................................................624 points

    6. Scavenger XIII..................................................................599 points

    7. linvoysblues......................................................................598 points

    8. Stereomaniac....................................................................570 points

    9. beakerjoe.........................................................................530 points

    10. Hashtag_Heel...................................................................444 points

    11. thebostoncrab..................................................................434 points

    12. Zemuppet........................................................................373 points

    League Fallout

It's all about consistency at this late stage of the game and so massive credit must again go to the leader Cheese Wagstaff who edges further ahead to a lead of 28 points over his nearest rival. If he can finish the week with a lead like this he has to be considered the red-hot favourite to take the title next week.

No changes in places just yet but A Brad Maddox Guy is now breathing down the neck of Bounty Hunter for second spot whilst Scavenger XIII and linvoysblues are battling it out for a spot in the top six with just a point between them.

    Raw results

Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and The Usos defeated The League of Nations, The Wyatt Family and The Dudley Boyz, Tommy Dreamer and Rhyno in a fatal four-way tag match

    Kevin Owens defeated Dolph Ziggler

Sasha Banks and Naomi defeated Brie Bella and Alicia Fox

The Lucha Dragons defeated Big E and Kofi

Ryback vs Rusev ended in a double count-out

    Jack Swagger defeated Stardust

    Braun Strowman defeated Tommy Dreamer

    250px-The_Usos_2014.jpg

Well I posed the question 'can the Usos deliver?' and they did so picking up a useful win. The Lucha Dragons also backed up the massive faith placed in them while Braun Strowman - who no squads have - picked up a squash victory. Time to consider the big man for the final week?

    New players

Anyone who wishes to play along before the game concludes is welcome to do so. Just post up a seven-person squad and we will allocate you points level with the lowest score in the league.

That concludes the Raw update. On we go to what will be for us a hugely significant episode of Smackdown. How will it affect things, if at all?

I have done up a provisional tally for this week's Smackdown but I want to watch the show first before I post it so keep an eye out for the Smackdown update tomorrow.

In the meantime I wish to touch on the average performance of each player.

    *****The Averages*****

Up until now when players have been tied for a position in the league I have put the player that comes first alphabetically on top.

I mentioned some weeks ago that this isn't ideal for the final league table. As a result, in the event that players wind up tied for a position in the final league standings the position will go to the player with the overall best average in the game at the end of each gameweek.

To give you an idea of how the averages look here is how each player has fared over 24 weeks (I have included the provisional Smackdown score for this week in my calculations)...

Average end-of-week placing over the 24 weeks

    Cheese Wagstaff......................................1.16
    Mr.Nice Guy............................................3
    Bounty Hunter.........................................3.6
    A Brad Maddox Guy..................................4
    LeeJM....................................................4.5
    DM_7....................................................4.75
    Scavenger XIII.......................................7
    linvoysblues...........................................7.25
    Stereomaniac.........................................8.45
    beakerjoe..............................................9.95
    Hashtag_Heel........................................10.5
    thebostoncrab........................................10.6
    Zemuppet.............................................12.1

Keep in mind this is over 24 weeks and there is another week still to come so the above is subject to change, but it gives you an idea of where we are.

It is apparent that Cheese Wagstaff has the best overall average by some distance and that won't change; so if a player were to go level with him on top on the final week then he would win the contest based on his powerful, overall average score. If he is to be toppled then players will have to finish ahead of him.

    Some stats for ya...

Here are some things I found interesting when compiling the above data:

    • Out of the 24 weeks played so far in the contest, Cheese Wagstaff has ended the week on top in 20 of those weeks.

    • Cheese Wagstaff has also never finished a week lower than second place.

    • You have to go back to Gameweek #16 for the last time Cheese Wagstaff wasn't on top.

    • Only four other players have experienced ending a week in first place: DM_7, myself, Bounty Hunter and A Brad Maddox Guy.

    • While he is riding high in the league at the moment, A Brad Maddox Guy finished the first week of the contest in last place!

    New Addition

I thought Tommy Dreamer would be the final addition to the game but then another ECW original returned so the final addition to the game this year will be the man-beast himself Rhyno. If you wish to transfer him in for the final week next week then he will be available for selection as a mid-tier option.

The upcoming final week will be a four-show week with the TLC PPV and the NXT London show also playing a role. The deadline will therefore be Sunday.

There will be stips available for the two PPV shows and I will look to explain all that when I post the Smackdown update tomorrow.

Hopefully it will prove a fun finale for everyone.

I have the Smackdown update ready to go but there's one result that doesn't sit right with me so I'm going to hold off on posting the update until I have a look at WWE's website.

I hope to now have the Smackdown update posted early on Friday. Thanks for your patience!

Smackdown has come to an end and so too has the penultimate week of the contest. For over six months we have jostled for supremacy in the Fantasy League but in less than a week's time the winner will be confirmed.

I will begin the Smackdown update with the top scorers for the show and then move on to presenting the league standings ahead of the final week. Lastly, I will reveal info on not one but TWO bonus stips coming our way. Read on for the latest...

*Note - Smackdown spoilers below. Do not read further if you do not want news of Smackdown.*

The highest score for Smackdown goes to linvoysblues who had everyone in his squad besides Charlotte score points for him, including both his mid-tier guys (Ziggler and Jey Uso).

The average score for Smackdown was 17 points.

    League Fallout

The relentless march to the title not only moves on but gathers pace! Yes, congrats are again in order for the leader Cheese Wagstaff whose excellent run of form now sees him break the 700 point mark and head into the final week with a formidable lead of 31 points. While we can't confirm him as the winner just yet, he might want to prepare his victory speech...

In other news A Brad Maddox Guy edges ahead of Bounty Hunter for second place while myself and LeeJM remain tied for the same spot for the third week in a row. Other movement sees linvoysblues move ahead of Scavenger XIII due to his huge score.

    Smackdown results

Roman Reigns vs Alberto Del Rio ended in a no-contest

    Dolph Ziggler defeated Tyler Breeze

The Lucha Dragons defeated Xavier Woods and Kofi

    Ryback defeated The Ascension

    Becky Lynch defeated Paige

Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and The Usos defeated The League of Nations

    220px-Becky_Lynch_at_NXT_in_March_2015.jpg

A good win for Becky Lynch this week. Only two players have her in their squads at the moment. Might she be worth bringing into your side for the final week?

Elsewhere, Lucha Dragons and Ryback record nice wins.

Here are the best performers from this week:

Top points scorers for Gameweek 24

    1. The Lucha Dragons 12 points

    2. The Usos 8 points

    3. Roman Reigns 7 points

    Note - appearance points included

The Lucha Dragons and Roman Reigns did well this week but pretty much everyone has them; not everyone has The Usos though and they delivered for all the players who have them.

On to Gameweek #25 - The Final Week!

*****TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs Bonus Special*****

    220px-TLC_2015_official_poster.jpg

Tables, Ladders and Chairs oh my...two points, and three points and five oh my!

The final WWE PPV of the year is the TLC PPV and the bonus involved for this PPV will be a type of accumulator that will fittingly involve the matches featuring tables, ladders and chairs. Those matches are as follows:

8-man tag team Tables Match - The ECW Originals (Bubba Ray Dudley, D-Von Dudley, Tommy Dreamer, and Rhyno) vs. The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan)

Triple threat tag team Ladder Match - The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston and/or Xavier Woods) (c) vs. The Usos (Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso) vs. The Lucha Dragons (Kalisto and Sin Cara)

Chairs Match - Alberto Del Rio vs Jack Swagger

How does it work? Like so...

Predict the result of the tables match and you pocket 2 points; predict the result of the ladder match and you pocket 3 points; and predict the result of the chairs match and you pocket 5 points.

But here's the catch: you will need to correctly predict the tables match result in order to be eligible for the ladder match points (and likewise to be eligible for the chairs match points you will have had to correctly predict the ladder match result. Geddit?)

Here's an example of how it will work in practice:
I correctly predict the tables match and the chairs match results but I got the ladder match result wrong. How many points do I get? The answer is only 2 points. I needed to get the ladder match result right in order to be eligible for the chairs match points.

    Another example:
I get the chairs and ladder match result right but I got the tables match wrong. How many points do I get? Answer: ZERO! I needed to get the tables match result in order to be eligible for the other results.

I hope that's clear. If you have any questions then ask away. What I think is fun about this bonus is that depending on your judgement you could get nothing, or alternatively a maximum of ten points.

    ...but wait, there's more!

    *****NXT TakeOver: London Bonus Special*****

    270px-NXTTakeOverLondon.jpg

Yes, we also have an NXT special this week from London and so we will be doing yet another bonus special (which is separate to the one above so the accumulator aspect doesn't apply here).

For this one it's very straightforward:

NXT Bonus Tier: Finn Balor or Samoa Joe

Correctly predict the winner of the NXT TakeOver main event and you will bag 3 points for your team.

So your final squad selection should look a bit like this:

    TOP TIER - X
    TOP TIER - X
    TOP TIER - X
    TOP TIER - X

    MID-TIER - X
    MID-TIER - X

    BOTTOM TIER - X

    Your captain: X

    TLC Bonus

    Tables Match: X
    Ladder Match: X
    Chairs Match: X

NXT TakeOver London Bonus: Finn Balor or Samoa Joe

    Deadline

As it's a PPV Week the deadline for Gameweek #25 will be on Sunday night before the first match on the TLC PPV card (this includes any pre-show match, so keep that in mind).

You therefore have today and the weekend to plan your strategy.

And don't forget to choose a captain who will score you double points (or cost you double points depending on how things go).

    New players

Before the contest concludes if newcomers want a taste of the action they can play along by posting up a squad like the sample one above. We will allocate you a place.

    Good luck

It's been a long, long road to get this point folks and here's hoping for a fantastic finale.

I expect there will be more points available for this final week than any other week thus far. For the last PPV, Survivor Series, the top scoring players for that week netted a total in the region of sixty points. By factoring in the bonus points available for this week's four shows I reckon the best player for the week could bag in the region of 70 points in total.

Will we see the league leader toppled? His rivals will need to score sensationally and hope that he has a stinker of a week (and given his form of late that's a big ask indeed). But you never know. We have seen surprises in this game before.

Just do your best and try to sign off in style. And so gents, for the final time, I say to you to plan your strategies well because Gameweek #25 - the final week - is open for business.

Here are the most popular options for the final week:
    Popular trends - G.W. 25

    Most popular Top Tier picks

    1. Kevin Owens 11

    2. Roman Reigns 9

    3. Alberto Del Rio 6

    Most popular Mid-Tier picks

    1. Big E 5

    2. Neville 4

    Most popular Bottom Tier picks

    1. Kalisto 10

    2. Sin Cara 2

    3. Bo Dallas 1

No change in the bottom tier section which is to be expected. In the top tier section Del Rio moves ahead of Ambrose as the third most popular pick behind Owens and Reigns, whilst in the mid-tier section Big E overtakes Neville as the most popular pick with a whole bunch of names tied for third spot in a very diverse field.

Good luck for the week ahead. It's out of our hands now...
