Does anybody else's dog do this?

The JRT just started doing it yesterday (frightened the life out of me - I thought she was dying:eek:). Thank goodness for the Internet which diagnosed her.

Has anybody any clues on what could be going on?

My girl reverse sneezes, it happens her if she eats too fast or she gets too excited! Its caused by an irritation to the upper area behind the nostrils. It was a very scary experience for me when my dog did it first. The vet said it was harmless and is common in small breeds.

Cover the nostrils the next time your dog reverse sneezes it makes them swallow and removes the irritation, massaging the throat can also help.

Thanks so much for the advice. I spent yesterday massaging her throat while she was doing it. Thankfully today it has stopped so fingers crossed that is the end of it.
