    Hi,

Quick question what is the rule of thumb for roughly calculating the amount of watts per person.
Got two 15inch powered tops that do 700rms each 1400 peak each spl 130.

Could they cater for crowds up to 170 etc??

I'd say it's more dependent on where you are playing. 170 in a small low ceiling room is gonna be very different from a more open space.

It's not like making food. You don't calculate it using a per person allowance, you calculate it as per the size of the room.

If your 15" tops are like RCF TT at the right level then maybe. If their Maplins home brand then no.

Room design plays the biggest factor.

Just stick to covering the dance floor. Get that covered.
