P21 Balancing Statement does not reflect my salary

    Hi All,

I was looking at my P21 Balancing Statement and my income according to it is €1000 less than what my employer is supposed to be paying.

I presume they should be the same. Should I highlight this to HR?

    Thanks,
    Bener.

When did you start your job? Is it possible you worked less than a full year?

Do you have a commuter ticket? I'm pretty sure mine showed taxable income so it was reduced by the amount of the ticket

The balancing statement figures are a reflection of the employer P35, so this is the figure your employer has advised to Revenue (Assuming you have not sent in the p60).

If the figures are different, it's down to your employer.

P21 incomes are often not the same as salary.

This is because the P60 / P21 shows the taxable wages, after some deductions, e.g. after pension deductions.

    Exactly 1,000?

Did you get a bike on the bike to work for the max value?
