Giant TCR Advanced 1 vs Cube Agree GTC Race

As per title I have narrowed my next purchase to the above two rides. I prefer the sleeker look of the Giant but the aggressive setup may be too uncomfortable for long spins...

Can anyone explain the difference in the feel of the ride between these two bikes?

Over longer distances 100 mile plus how would they compare? Would the Cube be significantly more comfortable?

    Thanks for the advice

I had the cube agree covered 10k on it

+ stable handling, but quick when pusshed
    + comfortable even 6hrs
-felt a little dead on the back, ocassionally felt like it had a puncture

order a new bike a few weeks ago and went for a giant propel

I've been looking at the propel ... is it a TT bike or a road bike? has the look of a TT.

(sorry for the derail OP, but in my experience when you ask for advice on 3 bikes, ppl will respond with 10 other bikes you should consider :D )

its an aero road bike; light, stiff, fast and comfortable

Have a read of the bike radar review

The Adcanced pro 2 is out of my budget but the / propel Advanced 2 is an option now as well...

Again going back to my original question - would the propel be too stiff for longer rides?

I tend to do mainly 100km to 230km cycles, with some climbing thrownin for good measure and its what im getting it for

The regular adv version is €1750 i think minus your bargining skills with the shop

I doubt it'll be too stiff for long spins. I actually don't think a bike can be too stiff. Comfort is all about bike fit IMO.

My OH has an Envie Advanced Pro (Envie being the Liv/ladies version of the Propel) frame in a build, and she did the Tour de Burren 160km route on it the weekend past and made no complaints about the comfort of the bike (just the weather :D), if that's any help with that concern?

OP I'm just wondering why you'd be thinking of the TCR if you're worried about the agressive setup, surely the Defy advanced would be the more natural choice?

To try and answer your question, without actually answering your question, I'll just say that I rode an extremely long spin on my Felt F1 which has a really aggressive geometry last weekend, to make things a little easier on the body I flipped the stem and fitted 25mm tyres, I had no real problems caused by the bike.

Thanks all for the replies. Based on your feedback I am definitely going to opt for either the TCR Advanced 1 or the Propel Advanced 2.
Not sure how to differentiate them

TCR if you do a lot of group rides (Aero isn't so important) or climbs (it will be a bit lighter)
Propel if you do solo rides (spend all you time in the wind) or want to set some PR's (aero is almost everything)

both should be comfortable; personalized fit, saddle and 25c tyres ??

I have the propel ADV 2 and find it comfortable even over 100 k cycles. Use in group and solo cycles sondont worry about fact that it's aero. Had ordered TCR but never arrived so got propel. Have not been on the tcr so can't compare it but happy out.

Good points. Yes I would do mostly rides with a couple of guys so TCR would be better suited. I also do lots of hilly training so again the TCR is better suited to that...I expect the Giant store to give me a proper fitting, not sure about which saddle, and yes 25c tyres
