Hi I hope I am on right site. My sky+ box is showing NO SIGNAL RECIEVED. When I got onto sky they said they would download signal and if that didn't work ,I would need new box. I have a bran new Sky HD box and I am wondering have I to jump true a lot of hoops to change boxes.

    Grateful for any help.

No signal received usually means that the dish or lnb are misaligned. At that has always been my understanding.

Btw I'm sure there is a better forum to post your question. There is a forum on boards for home entertainment.

Its probably your lnb or dish, but try this. Press and hold the backup button (keep held) whilst pulling out the power cord. Leave it a few seconds then plug the power cord back in all whilst still holding the backup button. After a few seconds the box will update the system software at which point you let go. This resolves most issues with boxes.

Bring the box to a neighbours house who has Sky, if it works there it's a problem with your setup most likely the dish.

Thanks a lot for all the help. It was the dish that was off line. The bar holding it in the correct position had rusted and fell away. Got local tv man to replace it.As I tought it was the box I got a Hd + box from friend and am using it now. My problem now is I cant record on this box unless I contact sky. Does anyone know how to do it without contacting sky
