Fancy Salthouse in the 7.30 at the Curragh. Very impressive lto. 4/1 with betfair.
I know PC fancies Fog of War so may do an e/w saver.

Totally agree and took 7/2 with boyles ( paddys as per usual offering a miserable 5/2 )

Gone in again at 7/2 ew, I'd be surprised if it doesn't go off jolly. The drop back to a mile will do no harm either imo.

8 35 Chester. Really fancy Clockmaker for this tomorrow. Has won twice over C and D off marks of 91 and 83. Horse has won from the front and has the perfect draw in stall 1 tomorrow. Has been running well on the aw recently over inadequate distances as he is a 7f specialist. I think the 10/1 is excellent value and have had 2 pts win.

hard not to be impressed with salthouse lto
the 9/2 with corals looks big (pp,boyles only 3/1)

Paul Gilligan the NH trainer from Galway travels across the water with one horse today - Bold Henmie 7/1 runs in the 4.30 in Wolverhampton. Direct from source this horse is expected to win comfortably.. Definitely an ew bet to nothing

    MEANDMYSHADOW 8.45 newcastle

I was going to back this last night at 16s but said id leave it and see how the market progresses but wish i had as hes into 10s now. C&D winner from a mark of 68 and is now down to 66 for today. Back in his proper class but needs to bounce back from a poor run lto. The draw could have been kinder as theres a bias towards high draw over 6f at newcastle but with the money now coming im happy to get involved
    2pts ew
    gl with your bets today

Going for glory with PC's pick (15/2), Jayo's (9/1) and The Absent Mare (3/1, Johnson starving himself to make the weight for this one).

    339/1 accumulator :pac:

He seems a fair price. Can't argue.

One thing I've noticed though is that front runners are not doing well at all at Chester this year. And as a result the usual draw bias hasn't been occurring.

Of the 30 races there this year, just one winner has come from stall 1, which is a bit unusual. It actually comes out as the worst stall of the lot on this year's stat.

Why would this be happening? I don't know. It may be a blip in the stats. It may be that some course work has been taken out. They done this at Beverley (watering iirc) when they successfully negated a strong draw bias there.

Will be watching with interest tonight.

I think jockeys are goin to hard from the front at Chester and that's why stall 1 has had a poor strike rate, any race I've watched this year the low drawn horses cut each other's throats up front , a horse in 3rd or 4th just off a strong pace will more likely win most races tonight

But why more this year than last? They've always been cutting each others throat there. For years, everyone knows the advantage. The advantage of being in front is that you have the rail, you travel a lot less than those outside it. But the rail doesn't seem as advantageous this year.
Will see how they go tonight.

Dark Alliance at the curragh for me , should improve for his 1st run of the season, is well drawn and open to more improvement than most 6/1is a fair price. Have had a small bet on Anonymous Lady also in the race, as both of her placed finishes (close to ishebayorgrey zunera afewdollarsmore & ostania) are good runs, blinkers on might light her up to much though over the 6f though so thats the reason for my preferance of Dark Alliance.

Mind you im in HORRIFIC form at the moment so there more likely to finish last and 2nd last than 1st & 2nd!

Think Lord Of The Rock looks good today at 13/8 in the 6:10 at Newcastle.

They have Madame Butterfly down as favourite and as short as 5/4 in some places but I can't see them beating the selection.

They both have come second over the distance quite recently on similar ground but the selection's speed figure was far better and although the favourite is sure to come on for their last run, I can't see them finding what I feel they would need to in order for them to win.

Best of luck if you choose to follow.

3rd from last I think. Unlucky, signs were there, it just weakened badly unfortunately.

It ran to win, clearly tried. It was just not good enough for whatever reason, that's racing.

If you think I would have a penny on a thing that some chap on here said will win comfortably, you are an imbecile. I was simply saying to the chap, that someone telling him something like that is not someone he wants to be spending his hard earned on.

Not good enough on the day...the horse was entered up at Brighton last week also.

To be fair Gilligan usually has a good record when sending his horses over the water, can't be many in the stable though nowadays

Surprised it wasn't a bigger price myself based on form alone

You don't need to lecture me on what racing is or is not.

Regardless, telling anyone that you hope they lost their bollocks is an absolutely rotten way to look at any game. G'day to you, chap.

Decent gamble landed on Bolger's Morning Mix in the last at The Curragh. Plenty of 9/4 available at lunchtime, won by 7.5L at 11/10. Strengthens the claims (however slightly) of Radanpour in tomorrow's Derby!
