Ok so a complete truck newbie here!
I am thinking of buying a truck to move my equipment around. The equipment weighs about 5 tonne but has a length of 28 feet so hence looking for a suitable truck for my needs. It will need to be in a curtain side truck.

I will have to do my truck licence and cpc stuff to get me ready but I am wondering could anybody possibly enlighten me on the running cost approx. of a 28'/30' curtain side truck.
Looking to get my head round fuel costs to haul 5 tonne approx per mile.
Any help would be a bonus to get me started!
    Thank you :o

Found this from the US. Should be able to find out the mpg of any truck you're interested in and extrapolate the results or here's one for cars but will give you the figures
