Lanzarote for 6 months

Hi sorry if this is in the wrong place, me and the missus are thinking about moving to Lanzarote for 6 months, we both lost our jobs and thinking of going for 6 months with a view to make it permanent, we own our house no bills, thing is just got dole sorted so if we go for 6 months and it doesn't work out how are we fixed for coming back home? I hope to rent out house to my niece, any information would be great,

You should be able to sign back on if you return after a short period out of the country.ie like a lot of people who take a year out travelling ect.
