Im looking for a Boxing gym that welcomes older beginners. Im 33 and have few years of martial arts training behind me. I also do GYM 3 mornings a week before work.

I work just off Georges street so closer by the better. Ill be doing it along with my martial art training so Monday and Thursdays wouldn't be free.

I know im bit old starting boxing but once i start id give it my all!

Any recommendations for boxing GYMs that would suit would be much appreciated.

    Hi everyone,

I would be interested on this as well. Any recommendation would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I'd recommend either Beau Jack Boxing at Grantham St, tucked in behind Camden Hostel (very difficult fitness class followed by beginner-novice boxing, which may be exactly what you're looking for).

For a bona fide boxing club that's also doing fight-oriented fitness classes, try Donore BC on Donore Avenue. Sean Carton is doing 3x classes there now.

Personally I'd recommend Beau Jack Boxing, Steve Dawson the trainer will introduce you to the game and there's loads of decent body/head sparring for the newb, which you will be for at least two years I'd imagine.
