Volkswagen passat 2005 service, Dublin

    Hi all,

Quick question bought a volkswagen passat last year with 93.000 miles on the counter. Got a new NCT done about a month ago and the car passed with flying colours.

Since yesterday the service light comes for a few seconds when starting the car?

Where in Dublin? (preferably D1 area) can I get the car serviced? And how much would it cost approximately. (hoping not to much as it just passed NCT)

    Thanks!

    joost

First off, is it petrol or diesel? When was the last time it was serviced? What exactly was done the last time it was serviced? These answers will have a bearing on what needs done now and how much it will roughly cost you.

Also many people seem to think that passing a NCT and servicing are the same thing. The NCT is a road worthiness test and has very little bearing on whether a car has been serviced as per the manufacture's recommendations.
