Hi there, my daughter recently got accepted into the itv work experience scheme for two weeks in leeds, we are all thrilled and cannot wait to get over however we are having a massive problem with finding accommodation for the two weeks.
My daughter is sixteen and anxious about leaving home so I will be going with her as well as my two younger children (3 and 7) and this is where the problem lies, everywhere is either fully booked, hugely expensive or unable to take in residents under 18. We are really stuck and would be grateful if anyone could give us any help or any suggestions of places to stay, thank you very much 😄

    Have you tried air bnb?

Yes but all places are coming up €1500 and over and some of the places even suggest that I book two rooms even though we are classed as 2 adults and 2 kids and should be able to be accommodated in one

When for? How much do you expect to pay? What sort of accommodation do you want?

If it is soon then it is not surprising you are having difficulties in finding a 2 week stay cheap. €1500 is about £75/night which would be around the price of a mid-budget hotel.

The likes of Travelodge or Premier Inn would be a bit cheaper than that, particularly if you can book a few weeks in advance but with the lousy €-£ exchange rate you are not going to find staying in the UK for bargain rates.

Best advice I can think of is to try splitting your stay into 2 or 3 portions, many places will have availability for types of rooms for sections of your 2 weeks but not the whole stay so appear booked out for a 14 day search.
