I finished my leaving cert last week and want to do law next year. Wanted to go to Maynooth and have accommodation sorted, but I'm starting to wonder if a degree from UCD would be considered more appealing to employers than a degree from Maynooth? Any thoughts?

UCD would probably be more recognised but right now Maynooth had the big advantage of offering a lot of it's students work placements during 3rd or 4th year, since of which are in the top 5 firms, which are even better to have on a CV and can be a great way to get a contract. The course is still quite junior compared to others but they're putting a lot of work into it.

Much of muchness between the Irish universities to be honest. None of them will be a help or a hinderence. As long as you score a high 2:1 you will make yourself employable no matter where you go.
