Hi my wife is driving a Peugeot 207 and my query is that I have noticed that if fan is running before car is switched off, the fan will continue when its turned off and will turn off when temp drops down. Is this normal

It's normal for the fan to continue cooling the engine is switched off. This is a common function in many brands.

If it was me i would take a quick look at the coolant level when the engine is cold just to ensure that all is ok, no harm in checking.
