    G'day mates.

So I've had a Charge Spoon on my winter bike for about 3 years now and find it very comfortable. I recently acquired a lighter summer bike and I'm not too comfortable on the stock Prologo Kappa 2; so I am considering getting another Spoon.

Then I noticed the Charge Knife. It's a lighter racier model... like my new bike.

So I'm wondering if anyone on here has both saddles, and how they compare? I'm finding the small weight saving hard to justify with such a price jump. Do you find one more comfortable than the other? Do you notice a difference in road vibrations with the Ti Alloy rails on the knife?

    Thanks!

As a fellow advocate of the Spoon it to me would seem hard to justify more money, potentially less comfort, all for a few grams weight reduction......spoon it!

Great thread title! I didn't think it would be so apt before I read the OP :D:D

The Charge Spoon saddle gets fantastic reviews, I had always wondered if it really was that good.

Dont know about the knife, but I have charge spoons on training bike, cx bike race bike and cant fault them.

Have spoons on two of my bikes (bikes? That's a funny name. I'd have called em chuzzwozzas!).

The knife gets good reviews but no saddle has been better than the spoon until I got an Arione for my good bike.

In short I'm not sure the extra cost of the Knife over the Spoon is worth it. Simply because of how good the Spoon is.

But then, I see you've played Knifey-Spoony before.

I had a spoon for years, raced, commuted, close to perfect. I wouldn't change unless the weight thing is an issue.

What are the full list of differences other than weight? If it's shape or geometry are even slightly different I wouldn't get the knife, unless you ca try it yourself. Saddles are an incredibly personal thing and just because someone here likes both, doesn't mean both will suit you if there are any differences.

Thanks for the sound advice ya'll.

Yeah you've kind of confirmed what I already thought. I'll continue spooning. Now... which colour...

I see the latest black one has a kind of a brushed finish. I think I'd prefer a leathery one, for the extra sliding. My current saddle grabs the shorts off you and you can't slide back onto your sit bones after being out of the saddle... annoyin'!

PS - well done to everyone for picking up on the reference!
