Does anyone know anywhere in Cork that I can hire a trolley for a short time? I need to move a refrigerator but I don't want to buy one just to use it once.
Is there a furniture removal place that might let me borrow/hire one?

I'd say someplace like The Loft might lend you one. Or maybe a stall holder in the market. All depends how honest you look I suppose ;-)

I don't know if I'd have the brass neck to do that!

I asked in an electrical shop before. Left them my phone and ID, no problems at all. Worth chancing your arm somewhere.
