Hey guys, i am starting to get bookings to sing at weddings and i am at the stage where i want to have a set partner playing music.
Just want a rough idea on what people's preferred option would be or what they used for their weddings?

    A) singer with backing tracks
    B)singer with guitar
    C)singer with keyboards
    D) 3 or 4 piece with viloin/harp etc etc
    E) other
obviouslt taking price into consideration C and D being dearer than A+B

    Cheers.

    A) hate backing tracks, sounds a bit tacky IMO
    B) sounds folksy, nice if that's your style
    C) suits me as mid range price. Try and get someone who can actually play the organ too though if you are traditional
D)/E) would be expensive, depends on your taste

B for me. Seems like a niche too, can't find many wedding specialists for sing and guitar only

Me, I'd go for B. Except I prefer it when everyone sings, not just the "wedding singer", so if I were booking here I'd go for C.

It all depends on your target market, though, and how conservative the priests in the area are. Some of them will be driving couples towards wanting organ music.

When I contacted my church singer she said she has someone that accompanies her on harp. That was perfect in my opinion. Another option was accompanyment on flute or both harp and flute if you have the budget for 2 musicians.
So for me - either singer with harp or singer with flute. All 3 would be pretty amazing as well.

In my opinion, I think it looks great if you have different packages for the bride and groom (Looks professional also).

So what I would do is find as many musicians as you can that would be willing to do a bit on the side. Then when you get an enquiry, you have different packages to suit them depending on their budget!

    Best of luck :)
