Jeremy Clarkson 'set to unveil new motoring show within weeks'
Jeremy Clarkson is expected to unveil a new motoring show to rival Top Gear in the next few weeks, with three broadcasters vying to sign up the presenter.

ITV and the US on-demand services Netflix and Amazon are understood to be the frontrunners to sign Clarkson, who was axed from the BBC2 show earlier this year after punching one of its producers.

Clarkson is set to be joined by both of his former Top Gear co-presenters, Richard Hammond and James May, with “three huge companies” competing to sign the stars. “They have had offers and they are close to making a decision about what they want to do,” an industry source said.

I suspect they will end up with ITV myself - the bias on ITV is definitely skewed towards women and now that'll only get worse as they have lost the Champions and Europa Leagues football and FA Cup. They need something to fill the time and to keep men watching the channel for at least a few hours a week (Top Gear at 8 pm followed by something male friendly in drama maybe).

I think Netflix should pick up the show, there's a big global audience for Top Gear, having the show available in all regions at the same time makes sense.

This would be some step for Netflix. Just hope us as subscribers don't end up footing the bill. The thing out Netflix is the attractive price !

If it airs on ITV it will be a smaller show, possibly 40 minutes compared to the hour long show on BBC.

Netflix have spent about a Billion making there own shows in the last couple of years and the price has stayed down.

They know there market very well and a show like Top Gear would be very cheap to make compared to HoC's, Marco Polo, the new French show and Royal family show they are making all costing close to $100m each to make.
