Parasites

I have become increasingly paranoid within the last few months after reading up on various parasites that can affect the body such as hookworm, flukeworms, tapeworm, candida etc.

I am overweight for my age and height and didnt eat so well for the past few years and engaged in a few risky activities which may have exposed me to harmful microorganisms. I have been working out at the gym for the last few months and also starting to eat more fruit and vegetables while cutting down as best I can on snacks and fatty cr*p.

I have also started eating coconut oil and drinking some organic mint tea because various internet forums advise that this can help kill the parasites. However, while these forums and sites recommend similar types of alternative supplements like wormwood, black walnut hulls, Diatomaceous earth etc, there is also arguments against some of these in that they can have other undesired effects on the body or if used along with another supplement, could render the other supplement useless.

Basically my question to anyone who has been in this situation before is this - should I attend my own GP with my issue or seek out a nutritionist or doctor that specializes in parasite removal?

If you have any genuine reason to think that you have symptoms consistent with an actual infestation of an actual parasite, then see the doctor.

    but...

I suspect that the answer to your query is in your fifth word.

    You're paranoid.

You can buy human grade worming tablets over the counter in any chemist if you're really concerned.

My MIL used to worm her kids at the same time as the cat :D
