Another Ceremony Musician Question

Sorry.... I've been through so many Google searches and also through the old threads.

We're getting married in a civil ceremony Sept. 2016 and would like a singer guitarist for that and maybe the reception. For some reason there doesn't seem to be much choice out there but reckon somebody on Boards should know

We checked in with Doug Sheridan but he's not available.

Sorry, should have mentioned. It's in Clonabreany House, just outside Kells, Co.Meath.

Have you tried maybe going around to a few local pubs to see. Even ask the staff there would they have names of people. I know a few but they are all Cork based... Or do is there any music college up there

Thanks Milly. Good thinking, I'm probably coming at this all wrong in looking for a wedding specialist maybe.

Well without trying to sound like a knob but inevitably I will, probably contemporary acoustic.
Just a decent singer with a guitar. We've a few songs in mind... from the 80s up. Simple enough.

We won't be having any hymns nor classical music.

It doesnt sound like a knob at all, you know what you want. nothing wrong with that.

Get a number for the blue light bar in rathfarnham, ask them for a contact number for "split ends" band that play there, its a relaxed thing they do so dont know if theres a website or fb page. I know the members, if you cant get them from the blue light, send me a pm and I'll get you contact details.
