    Lol @ only 108k miles on a 12 year old Mondeo diesel. I wouldn't touch a cheap 407 and the Mazda 6 looks tired as an old dog.

    with a budget that low, I would be buying something with very cheap motor tax and lower fuel use too... If the budget is 1k which is very small, I would expect you would want cheap running costs along side it, id get something up to 1.3L, yaris, polo, maybe a smaller honda, ford etc...

    Trouble is cheap to run cars with low tax and fuel usage tend to command more money to buy due to their strong appeal.
