My fiancee is going on here hen party soon and I was thinking that maybe I should send a gift of something along like a drinks hamper or something like that. Is this a done thing or would be best just to leave it or possibly send money along for drinks?

Ifyou know where the meal is going to be you could ring them and order a bottle or 2 of prosecco? This happened at oneheni was at and it wasa nice treat. The groom has also left a nice message for the Hen.

My Fiance got one of the girls attending to buy a round of drinks that he paid for.

    I myself would leave it.

The notion of the other half getting involved in any way with the hen or stag has never sat too comfortably with me.

It's a personal thing of course, I am confident there are many who love it.

Never been to a hen where groom did anything for it other than answer a few game questions.
However, surprising her with some bubbly sounds like a lovely idea.

It's funny, I think I recall a bride to be asking somewhere before should she arrange for a similar gift to be delivered on her husband to be's stag. Her query was met with cries of 'what?!? Why? Let him enjoy himself!!!!'

Only you know your relationship op :) it's a sweet gesture.

I was at a hen party recently where the groom sent a hamper to the bride with prosecco, crisps and snacks for the room and a card. Was a lovely idea I thought.

I think its a lovely idea OP - a drinks hamper for the girls or a couple of bottles of bubbly! Hope my OH thinks of it!

OP it's a lovely idea! My fiancé gave the bridesmaids money so they bought a few bottles of champagne for the weekend from O'Briens and brought them down. It was a lovely surprise and all the girls were extra fond of my fiancé for suppyling us with drink. TBH I think your money would go further, champagne from the offie is the same price as prosecco in a restaurant.

    +1.
    It smacks of insecurity.
A hen/stag night is traditionally seen as a last night of "freedom", just leave them to it to enjoy themselves without any outside interference.

The Hen Party's this weekend lad - I sent 4 bottles of prosecco and a selfie stick along with my sister and i'm not ashamed to tell you.

I'm certainly not insecure - just thought I would save her some money let her get smashed drunk - if i don't hear from her all weekend I'll be as happy as Larry cause I'll be out getting pissed with my friends which I rarely get a chance to do anymore.

Either that or I'll sit in a corner at home all weekend rocking myself back and forth wondering what the hell could be going on at this hen party!!!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes:
