Did anyone actually get into the show? :D

Well obviously thousands (?) did as we were in a queue two kilometers towards Waterford, and there was a similar queue in the opposite direction at around 2pm, and not much action, it appears it was full and cars were only being admitted as others left!

We gave up on it, pity!

Was there about 1.00pm, not a huge amount to it really, I did like the surroundings and the walk through the grounds but the stands, etc were pretty tame. The sheep dog trials and horse events were quite good but are specialist and wouldn't appeal to very many outside of those taking part. The owls/birds area were interesting, plenty of food stalls in the courtyard area and of course the nursery and cafe area were as normal.

All in all, I enjoyed it, but at €10 entry fee I could see a lot of complaints.

Was there other stuff advertised that wasn't there? If not I don't see how anyone could have a valid complaint...

Oh that sounds a bit disappointing, they certainly got good crowds though, maybe develop from there

Not really, every experience is what you make of it. I liked it for the surroundings and what I took from it. I was accompanied by some teenagers who have a different perspective and stimulation level. Regardless they still liked the experience and said they were glad they were helping charity. I gave my opinion above, please get more before judging yourself.

I didn't see any advertisements myself, I was getting ready to start dinner when I was asked if I would like to take a trip so I said I would and changed dinner to the slow cooked option (you need to adapt for busy teenagers) and went about a lovely day out, I acted as driver and enjoyed myself.

Huh? I was just responding to your assessment! You were the one who was expressing disappointment. Yes, the surroundings are gorgeous, I love it there, but you can visit for the grounds any time.

I was not judging anything, in fact I expressed the hope it would go on and develop from there.

I wasn't having a go at you, I didn't mean to come across as though I was, sorry.
