Who do I call? Gas cooker problem.

Hi,
There's a smell of gas when I open the drawers in the kitchen. The gas canisters are outside and the gas pipes come through the wall into the back of the cooker. Do I call a gas repairman or a cooker repairman/ It's a separate hob and oven, both gas but different brands. I'm in Clare.

You can call any registered Gas installer to have a look, legally only registered personnel can work on gas appliances.

So I broke the law when I installed my new gas cooker myself? Just have a look at the barrel, hose and connections yourself for any obvious defects before you go handing out your money to some contractor.

OP here.
I called an RGI chap on Saturday, he found a leak and he'll be back later today to replace a hose and a connection. It'll all be sorted by this evening. The homeownership learning curve continues.
