I can't believe you posted this a week ago and not one person has left a message!! Unless you've had PM's then I take that back! But really, don't panic. Be strong for her and cross each bridge when you come to it. Try to be positive even if it's the hardest thing you could do - it'll be healthier for your mind and her's while she undergoes any procedures required. Good luck!

I hope it goes well for her. I'm sure it will be a living hell of sorts for you both until it's 'over' but just try and distract yourselves and like I said before, stay positive. I'll be 30 next week and it's unnerving to hear when young women are affected, but it's just how it is. Take her out for the evening and spoil her - just what the Dr ordered :D

Hi Dr Nic: Did she have the lesion biopsied or since the plan was a mastectomy anyway, are they going straight to that? It must have been a very hard decision to make for both of you to go for the prophylactic mastectomy. I suppose this news makes it more urgent and if she was dithering wondering if it was necessary, maybe in some way she will be at peace with the decision now.
