Best Prem 11 ever from a certain country.

Here's an idea I thought might be fun also pretty challenging I found out while doing it. Pick a best EPL 11 from a certain country. So the best Italian 11 who played in the EPL for example I came up with was

    Cudicini

    Panucci
    Materazzi
    Festa
    Dossena

    Dino Baggio

    Di Mattaeo
    Nicola Berti---

    Zola

    Vialli
    Ravanelli----

    Osvaldo
    Branca
    Pistone
    Santon
    Lombardo
    Mancini
    Di Canio

It doesn't matter how long they played in the EPL aslong as they played 1 game.

Are you picking them on premiership form or overall career?

    USA

    Friedel

    Bocanegra
    Cameron
    DeMerit
    Spector

    Dempsey
    Cobi Jones
    Jermain Jones
    Reyna

    McBride
    Donovan

I'm really scraping the barel on Defence. Friedel, Howard and Keller in net were all as good as each other.

French, off the top of my head:

    lloris/barthez

    gallas lebouf desailly evra

    pogba viera cabaye/makelele pires

    henry cantana

    I'd be going

    Barthez
    Gallas Lebouef Desailly Evra
    Wiltord Vieira Makelele Pires
    Henry Cantona

Honourable mention to Petit also, wouldnt have Pogba or Cabaye in it at all, not over Wiltord or Makelele.

Edit, Youri Djorkaeff wasnt to bad either but my XI would still be the above.

France would have an excellent team:

    Barthez
    Sagna Desailly Koscielny Evra
    Vieira Makelele Petit
    Robert Henry Pires

An all time English XI would be interesting.

    Seaman
    Neville Adams Terry Cole
    Beckham Lampard Gerrard Scholes
    Rooney Shearer

Probably the best I can think of.

Mentions go out to Rio, Carragher who could easily be included, Owen too.

Not necessarily on their form in England, at least that's my excuse for including la brujita veron!....and Di Maria...

Am going 4-3-3. I was tempted to go 3-4-3 to play Di Maria, but Zabaleta has to play for me.

    Speroni

    Zabaleta-De Michelis-Heinze-Rojo

    Veron-Cambiasso-Mascherano

    Tevez-Crespo-Aguero

Di Maria & Maxi Rodriguez on the bench. If I could have had pre premiership players i would have considered Villa and Ardiles.

Lazily put this together - couldn't think of many centre halves so put Melchiot there, but he's an RB really. Utterly unbalanced and I still had to leave van Persie, Jimmy Floyd and Kluivert out.

No their from has to be based on the Prem era 1992/1993 - present. But don't have to be playing in the Prem during that time. So you could pick say Lombardo like I did from Crystal Palace. From the Prem era who played very well for Sampdoria & later Juventus but wasn't brilliant at Palace. Same for say Gilberto Melo who was great at Vasco Da Gama, I remember him Romario & Juninho taking United to pieces in the Club World Cup in 2000, but wasn't great at Spurs.

And like Gullit who was already mentioned his career was already in it's end phase & played as a midfielder & later a sweeper during the Prem era.

nice but I would have taken out Bellamy but Bale on the right wing instead & put Rush up front to partner Hughes. I also would have loved a place for Vinnie Jones but can't see one.

    Brazil

    Julio Cesar

    Maicon
    Alex
    David Luiz----Sylvinho

    Gilberto Silva

    Richardinho
    Emerson (Boro)---

    Juninho
    Robinho

    Jardel

There's a real lack of center forwards Jo is the only useless waster who popped into my head so Robinho played there a few times when people were injured. Lots of midfielders & full backs tho , Branco & Gilberto Melo were also battling it out for the left back spot. Gilberto Silva got the Defensive midfield spot because he was one of the best in that spot of his generation, I loved the rocket goals Emerson scored for Boro from 30 - 35 yards out between 96 - 98 & Porto from 93 - 96 before that, I just loved Richardinho when he played in Brazil from around 98 - 2004 he could play as a deep lying playmaker like Xavi or Pirlo & had a rocket of a left foot scoring some great free kicks. Rockhemback was a contender for a center midfield spot I just liked the other 3 lads a bit better. Edu also came close. Juninho was fantastic in Sao Paulo from 1992 - 1995 then moved to Boro were for 3 years he was just magic. Robinho loved him at Santos loved in his early years at Madrid which was enough to get him in. Jardel was a predator, in the mold of RVN or Linaker, scored over 400 goals in his careers over a 150 them for Porto between 1996 - 2000.

Cambiassio good thinking. Played brilliant for most of the Prem era but only played a season in it. I think Villa's son played for Derby.

Ah ****e I forgot about Mario Jardel who scored like 300 goals playing for other clubs (about 200 for Porto) during the Prem era & only played 1 season in the EPL for Bolton I think it was.

Lots of central mids to choose from here, there was so many I had to leave out. Deco got in because well it's Deco come on, Tiago got in because I liked him from his spell at Lyon & I like Maniche because he scored lots of crackers. It was a tough choice between Ferreira & Nuno Valente for the left back spot Ferreira just edged it for his international career. Finding anybody at all to partner Carvalho was the biggest challenge. I think Postiga also played as a very high up winger like Henry at times so the front 3 can rotate around.

Ah **** your right & he played his best during the Prem era with Porto from 1990 - 2005 scoring over 20 goals which is decent for a center back. He would have been a lovely little choice alright, to late once you hand in the team sheet.

I would have liked Macateer than McGeady filling the right wing. Looking at Houghtons career tho he was at Villa from 1992 - 1996, winning a Coca Cola Cup ( I still like calling the League Cup that even tho it hasn't been called that since 1998) & finished second in the league in 1993/1994 I think. So yeah he had a decent enough spell during the Prem era.

Does anyone remember his goal against Belgium in 1998 World Cup play off match? It was a header kind of like the one against England 10 years before. It leveled the match up 2 - 2 all on aggregate with about 10 mins to go, I really thought we were going to qualify for a 3rd time in a row until Nelis scored with a few minutes left knocking us out. It was the second time I cried watching a football game, the first was when United lost to Dortmuned in the Champions league semi-finals that same year.

De Bryne surely has to make it a head of Januzaj. And I also just noticed Miralles on the bench ahead instead of Januzaj, is laughable tbh.

Miralles is dropped for not letting Benteke take a penalty in the last match.
