Hi lads, just after bit of advice.

I am looking for the best weedkiller for nettles, docks and thistles.
Also is there a weedkiller that would also kill ragwort. I have hand pulled most of it but there is the odd plant so probably no harm to spray for ragwort aswell.

    Any help appreciated.

Yes i saw forefront but on the pack it says not to use it if you are grazing any livestock on the land other than cattle or sheep. I should have said that I have horses on the land. Do you know why they say forefront shouldn't be used on land with horses.

Forefront was recommended to my by my agri store but when I read the label I too realised that it was not suitable for horses. If memory serves me right, it is also not recommended to use on ground that you are going to plant potatoes on or cut haylage/hay from to feed to horses.
At the time (2007/8) I phoned Dow Chemicals Ireland, the number was on the bottle and asked them why it could not be used on pasture that would be grazed by horses. Basically the guy said that cattle and sheep have higher tolerance to the active ingredient whereas horses do not.

Put it up if you can.
Another problem with Forefront is that if you spread the dung a year later, the chemical ingredient can still be active.

I had a read of it in the last hour of work on Thursday.
It's good. I've a few problems with it.....
But then again I've no degree to back it up!
