Not really shown the same form this season that saw him get his head in front twice last season but looked to be gradually coming to hand with a 4th last time out and the Goldie horses have really been hitting top gear over the last week or so (4 wins and 3 places from last 10 runners). I think this half brother to the prolific winner Misternando looks just the type to continue progressing as a 4yo, I would have preferred more of a test as this trip looks to be a minimum but there should be no hanging round with Pivotman, Maven and Amood all likely to be to the fore early. If the pace is strong then he should be staying on best of all at the business end and I think he is well worth risking at the price.

Peintre Celebre

Took a small chance on Smoker in the last at Chepstow tomorrow. Had some good form in Ireland off much higher marks despite only ever winning a maiden, and he fared much better than the bare result last time. He's dropped in grade and upped in trip and is worth a chance, given he is a stoutly bred half brother to a smart stayer in Ask. Risky but 12/1 is worth it with the yard going extremely well (5 winners from 10 runners in the last week)

Anybody see the 1.50 in newmarket? just wondering peoples opinions on the lead up to the fall

possibly just bitter cause it caused my horse hassles.

Fair play, jump at the last was that of a horse with a bit in hand, looks a hard horse to catch right but today was definitely the day, nice one!

Island Peak in the 8:15 is off a very dangerous handicap mark and has been one I've followed for quite some time. The step down in trip is a concern, but it should go well on this ground.
