    Hey all,

As title says, my 2006 Toyota Corolla has a clicking sound when clutch is pressed. Can also feel the clicking.

Only happened when arriving into work, so going to see if a local mechanic will look at when I finish work.

Any idea how costly this'll be to fix?

My Civic has done this for years and there's nothing to worry about. It's probably the master cylinder and might just need greased.

It's a fairly loud noise, and feels fairly bad. From what you're saying, hope it's a cheap fix.

Not being smart but have you checked that the pedal isn't loose ?

Not really sure how to check that?

    =-=

When I started it after work, it was okay. Drove it to CARS, it was okay. On the way home, it started to make a little noise.

Pressing the clutch alone, when not in gear, gets the clicking/knocking sound. Possibly the clutch pedal going? Shall drop it down to CARS on Tuesday morning (they're busy until then), and shall see if they can find the issue. Not going to risk driving it until then, in case it brakes down on the motorway in the middle of nowhere.

The pedal is usually screwed on from behind, just make sure it's tight, use a mirror if your can't get your eyes to see it but more than likely its the clutch on the way out.
