all week ive been thinking, nope, too cold yet, only mid to late teens here by day and other morning it was 5-6 degs,

today it barely got above 17/18

yet i was shocked to see a few people even today, knocked and shuck out what i know is hay fields, as they only try for hay.

my thinking, uve missed 2 days already of poor weather for hay, rain coming friday, and according to met site with long range forecast, there isnt any high temps coming after it. . . 13/14 degs sat/sun.

not to mention the light crops after such a poor may.

    thoughts?

i also see silage crops not touched around me. only growing now they say.

I'd say there will be another chance further on the year. Plenty of time in July and August for a good spell for hay

It would have been drying pretty well standing for the past couple of days anyhow so if you wanted to take a chance you mighnt be that far behind those that cut a couple of days ago. All depends on when the weather breaks really

Bit of a hiccup with the weather this weekend and then high pressure building again.

Some of the best hay saved is cut on the last wet day before a dry spell....
