Where could I buy this material for rc helicopter flybar?

    In the image below, the flybar is marked in blue for you to identify, if not familiar with these helis.

    A premium price is charged for this part even though it's just a 2mm diameter, 220mm in length piece of material (I think it's just aluminum)....Can someone tell me where I could get this material and then I can cut it myself?

    I haven't got a tap and die at the moment either, is there any specific brand I need to go for?

    Even with postage they seem a lot cheaper than what it would cost you for the material and a decent standard die set.
    If the threads are fairly unusual such as tapered or left-handed then the dies might be hard to find and more expensive.

    Have you looked at Ebay, you can get all sorts of metal bars and rods there.

    don't know about threading it. but I know any propeller or high r.p.m blade would need to be precisely balanced or it would cause vibrations that could cause further damage. maybe a genuine part might be the way to go.
