Using 5.1 speakers with aux/rca.

Hey, I have a 5.1 surround sound which is connected to my sound source via a rca converted to an auxiliary cable. Only 2 speakers and the sub are working because of the cables only supply stereo sound. Is there any way of getting the sound through all 5 speakers? I don't really care about true surround sound. Any ideas?
