I hope to study public relations/marketing in September and when I graduate I'd ideally like to work for maybe a broadband company in the marketing area. Just using 02 as an example - if anyone has any experience or anecdote about working for 02 (in either marketing sector or just in general) I'd love to read your story. Thanks :)

Just to let you know. There is no 02 anymore.

I would have thought its the first thing in job hunting - know about your prospective employer?

    *THREAD CLOSURE REQUEST*

Is this after hours with the sarcastic replies *rolls eyes* :p At least allow me to clarify.

I typed that in a rush. To clarify - I KNOW 02 were taken over by 3. I just have a habbit of still referring to my network as 02 as I've been with them for years so it just takes a bit getting to grip with. To the person that said I wouldn't be very good at marketing...you can't possibly say that because you don't know me and can't judge over a small thread. The whole reason I started this thread was to gauge what a career in marketing would be like working with a broadband company. I don't know much about networks as prospective employers - hence why I started this thread to get informed.

It's not set in stone but for the record, it's only a career I'm considering. I did work experience with a marketing firm a couple of years ago and they seemed to think I was an ideal person. Like I said, I typed this in a rush.

I created this thread hoping to get some helpful replies but this is not the case so I would request this thread to be closed as I don't see any point in it remaining open.

At least ask for food, water and shelter, maybe even money, working for o2 is hardly enough!

My brother works there. He was happy enough working for O2 but does not like working for 3. Not sure why exactly but as an O2 customer I did find 02 to be more helpful. I suppose 3 have a lot more rules and regulations.
