How many previous conviction does it take before it is deemed that this person cannot be rehabilitated and does not care for society?

Garda killer with 91 previous convictions released from prison after a light sentence for killing someone and a 14 days for escaping.

If some one has (arbitrary number) 3 previous convictions should they serve full sentence without any of the good behaviour or getting off early privileges?

Blame the revolving door system of justice in Ireland. It enriches the lawyers and hangers on no end.
    it really is that simple.

In some jurastictions it is very low, I don't think we should be following their example but in Ireland I don't think anybody has reached that magical number yet ;-)

It might make sense if time off for good behaviour resulted in suspending the remission part of the sentence to act as an incentive to not reoffend.
