Cleaning glasses

I'm just looking for some advice on the best way to clean glasses. My 3 year old has recently started wearing glasses and I have noticed that there is a bit of a build up where the lenses meet the frames. It's not really noticeable and I can only really see it when I am cleaning her lenses, but it bothers me.

I currently use a spray the optician gave me to clean the lenses and I give the frames a wipe with a damp cloth regularly, but can anyone give me some tips on a more effective way to clean the frames?
Not being a glasses wearer myself, I'm at a loss.

    Thanks in advance.
