DVB-T no signal sign coming up on screen despite having perfect picture. Box is Triax TSC114. Is there anyway to knock off the notifications? Its constant on screen on RTE1.
    Thanks guys

I don't think there is a way to turn off the message. I had a similar problem with a Triax Soarview box. Your signal may be a little bit low. You may have to look into improving your aerial installation.

Hi Delta, thanks for the reply. You're right the signal is low on rte 1 but picture is fine. Other saorview channels are grand. Unfortunately, I think in our area I think this is the best signal we can get.

When a signal is marginal as in your case, it might take very little to improve it enough to get a satisfactory signal.

For example, if you have a wall plate for your tv outlet, make sure you are using good quality cable between the plate and the box. Often, the ready made white, 1 or 2 meter leads, for this purpose are pure rubbish. Also a screened wall plate could make the difference, if your wall plate is the standard type. ( A lot of the time the tv cable can be jointed using 2 F connectors an a coupler, to by-pass the plate.)

Another possibility is that a sky channel from a different room could be interfering with your RTE 1. ( I don't know what your set-up is.)

Also, an outdoor aerial will always work better, than anything inside, or in the attic.
