Mobile Provider while I'm in Europe?

    Hi all

    I live in Australia at the minute but will be going back to ireland in a few weeks and travelling round mainland Europe and the UK for a couple of months. I'm hoping to buy a sim card that will work in a few different countries, just for calls and texts really. Is there such thing as a trans-european sim card that will work everywhere or do I need to buy one in ireland and get some sort of roaming package? Cheapest option preferrable! Any help appreciated, cheers :)
