    Hi there,

I have recently changed broadband provider to vodafone and i am after getting their HG658c. I have a swann cctv system and with my old router i was able to port forward so that i could access my cctv any time anywhere.

I need the following ports 85 and 18005 open. I log in and i got to NAT and go to port mapping and i put in all my infor. i go it from
    http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Huawei/HG658c/Swann_SWDVR-94200H.htm

now i get an error when i follow this guide so i have to but the ip addrees of the DVR in internal host and it allows me to save. i reboot the router and when i test to see if the port is open it reports back its not. is there something i am missing here.

many thanks for reading and any assistance you can offer.

Hi, it is likely that the problem is/was with the IP address you used as the "internal host". It is important that this is correct and that it is the same as the IP address for each camera.

Hi, we have used the HG 658c router for a year and a half - we just changed package to fibre but have the same router, but our cctv camera port is now closed and we can't get it open. The camera support has the camera working on the LAN network, but although it connects to the router it won't connect to the internet. Vodafone says their policy is that they don't open ports, that we have to do that ourselves. I have tried the port forward website but the camera (Instarvision) isn't listed. Do anyone has any advice? Thanks
