As always, The Inner Ring has some interesting stuff.
    Froome is his favourite.

Looking forward to the monstrous mountain stage.

And stage 5 is identical to a Tour stage this year.

Very surprisingly poor TTT from SKy but Deignan rode so well.......made a very good application for a Tour place

Roche got it wrong so (see above article!)

    Carlton Kirby is so insane

Today he said Cadel Evans was guiding BMC and how great it was from the riders to have his influence ...he isn't at the race or working for BMC as a DS....Kirby is obsessed with Cadel

Also Bardet .....just because he backed him in last year's tour

And how Dan Martin is going for GC win here .....all because he got a good price for Dan

The stuff he makes up !!!

From Twitter you'd hardly think that Evans has retired. I assume he still has massive influence on BMC

    Roche on yesterdays stage

Sounds like Sky made a balls of it

Anyone know why Sam Bennett wasn't riding in this? Seems like it would be great training for the TdF, and he could've had a chance to win a stage or two as well.

Racing in Koln on Sunday. The big German 1 days seem to be the plan as he was 2nd in Berlin last week. German Team /Sponsors

That's a shame. Given the results of the Dauphine so far, Sam would probably have got a podium finish by now, if not a win.

Looking forward to the mountains today

Tricky stage today with a long winding descent before the final climb

Lots of candidates ....esp Valverde , J-Rod. Allaphillipe, D Marin, Nibali , Kelderman
Kennaugh , R Dennis, TJVG, Talansky, Bardet

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,507 ✭✭✭✭dastardly00

Less than 50km to go, with the Cat. 1 climb of Col d'Alloss and the Cat. 2 climb to Pra Loup to come. There is a 7 rider breakaway with a 3'20" lead over the bunch (Christophe Riblon (AG2R-La Mondiale), Tim Wellens (Lotto-Soudal), Pieter Serry (Etixx-QuickStep), Romain Sicard (Europcar), Arnaud Courteille (FDJ), Albert Timmer (Giant-Alpecin), Daniel Teklehaimanot (MTN-Qhubeka)).

The gap is coming down fast! Also does anyone know what the thing is sticking out the back of some of the saddles?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,836 ✭✭✭✭Pudsy33

Dan in 11th or so on the day, that's a fantastic result considering his lack of racing. Louis Meijnties in 6th for MTN is great too.
