Derby Day

1 10 Musselburgh. Mowhoob. Won here over C and D on the 14th of June last year off a mark of 66.Has been running ok recently while still coming down the weights to a mark of 58. Think the 7s on offer is very fair, 2 pts win.

19 10 Newcastle. Put king of Eden up the last day when 3rd at ayr. PP going 12s and even though over 1m I think thats too big, 7f has been his best distance but at that price I am willing to take a chance. 1 pt win.

I was hoping to back Stevenson Star tomorrow in the 18 40. But the price on offer is stink. Had been following this 1 for a while waiting patiently for the right day. New trainer tomorrow and I think he will run well but wanted double figure odds. Hopefully not off and can get a better price the next day,

    Flintshire to beat Dolniya 2/1
Lord Adare to win the novice chase at Limerick (nap) 5/1
Snaidhm to put the experience to use in the maiden hurdle at limerick 5/1
& perfect muse to win the spring at epsom 10/1

No idea on the derby so epicurios / elm park and giovanni conelleto in revers forecasts and tricasts

CELTIC MONARCH 2.05 hexham. Travels across the water for his first run back from an absence of just over a year. If hes anywhere near ready he should be able to take care of this field. Paddys go a miserable 2/1 but 11/4 available with betfair and 5/2 b365

More than happy with my antepost bet of Jack Hobbs at 7/1.

Money back as a free bet on tonight's Champions League final with Ladbrokes if your horse finishes 2nd or 3rd in Derby.

    I agree wholeheartedly on this.
    8s widely available now.

I've had some luck with short odds accumulators lately, so I'll just throw this up and see how it does.

    Epsom 15:10 - Dolniya (4/6)
    Epsom 16:30 - Golden Horn (13/8)
    Musselburgh 14:15 - Richter Scale (11/8)
    Musselburgh 17:25 - Distant Past (13/8)
    Worcester 17:30 - Father Edward (2/5)
    Worcestor 18:05 - Set List (4/6)
    Hexham 17:55 - Emperor Sakhee (11/10)
    Lingfield 18:00 - Secret Tale (4/5)
    Lingfield 19:30 - Hathal (1/3)
    Limerick 20:50 - Avici (1/1)
    Greyville 14:45 - Futura (11/10)
    Belmont Park 17:39 - Competitive Edge (4/7)

I usually do a smaller bet with a tip or two from this thread added in, so I'll do the same accumulator with Mowhoob (1:10 Musselburgh) added in. :)

Surely if Golden horn stays he wins? One of O'briens could spring a surprise.

Just looking back through previous races there, Ruler of the worlds Derby must surely be one of the worst ever?

not a bad offer with dolniya and golden horn in mind, would have to wait till next sat for the freebet though and there has to be at least five runners in an offer race

1m 4f 10y class 1 Investec Derby (Group 1)-'Place a bet on any live Channel 4 race, via your mobile or tablet, and if your horse comes second, we'll refund your stake up to maximum £25 free bet

like legatissimo yesterday I'm struggling to find one to beat golden horn unless like yesterday something pops up at a huge price

I think Success Days is great each way value.
If an O'Brien horse had won the Derrinstown by 10 lengths, he'd probably be the favourite.

    First one gone. Typical :)

I'll shut up now (but I have won about 600-700 over the last few months, so there is method to my madness).

    Buratino was very impressive there.

King of Rooks for the Norfolk now, surely? 5/2 in places

Spoke too soon, into 5/4 now

Waiting on Jack Hobbs for 700 from my Trixie with a stag and wedding coming up it would be great. Offered a cash out of 138 but with 43 off the double i couldn't.

    Lets go Jack!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Pethers Moon.

    That's mad stuff altogether.

    Dolniya traded 1.02

    Pethers moon traded 250

Mess of a race at a mess of a track. Wouldn't read it too literally.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,022 ✭✭✭madmoose

Farce of a race, even when the great st nic won these the fields were tiny, think this race needs downgrading unless more top older horses take their place.

Stoute and Gosden must surely have missed a trick not running Telescope and Eagle Top in that

I don't think there's any doubt that Flintshire handles the track well. Dolniya got an easy lead and upheld the beating she gave Flintshire in Dubai. While you can't read it that literally, you cant dismiss it

As usual Pethers Moon doesnt get the credit hr deserves. He won fair and square and beat 2 top class animals in the process. Superb ride by Dobbs that was.

Fiver treble on Moheet to place, Vettel to get pole in the F1 later on and Juve to lift the Champions League trophy.

Some joke the bookies shortening almost everything. I'd be very confident that Golden Horn is the best horse in race and his temperament should see him win. Giovanni and Jack Hobbs to chase him home

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,205 ✭✭✭Gringo180

Incurs four faults looks big enough @ 18/1 in the next at Musselburgh. He'll need to settle better than he did last time out but he's just a lb above his last winning mark and I'm hoping he can go well here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,722 ✭✭✭posturingpat

Steel train expected to be in the places 5.10 Doncaster. Not fussed on the joxk myself so wont be backing but just passing it on
