    Hi,

Just wondering what's the pros and cons on the monitoring options below. Are they worth getting as they are expensive or is it fine to get a wireless alarm without?

    Many thanks

Lan card for remote access and alarm notifications

WiFiIP Lan card for remote access and alarm notifications

    GSM Digital communicator

Some form of monitoring is a good idea. Ideally via a central station with Garda & key holder notification. After that
After that I'd recommend the in the order you listed in your post.
Most manufacturers give you free notifications & remote access via IP with apps & browser access..
Text is not as reliable & you have the running costs of sim card and GSM diallers can be more expensive.

Top two need to use your router.
If the router is off then you are dependent on the system polling to be notified of this.
GSM can be used as a back up to the above but can be blocked.

Text is a must if you don't have a voice dialler or monitoring. Push notifications are fantastic but you need WiFi/3g/4g to receive them. If you've monitoring then you don't need text as the monitoring will be calling you should you have no 3g coverage. You won't get the alert otherwise.
