Just the one black player. There'll be ructions.

    He doesn't count. #Zimbabwean

I'd like to see close up of the grippy bits on the test version.

There's always one prop stuck in the 90s...

I think he's heavier than that

The Springboks all appear to hold the rank of Rear Admiral, that must become complicated at team meetings.

  • Not sure about it. Just looks like a T shirt!

The point I was making is that the SA sports ministry tried to have him made ineligible from the team because of political reasons.

Him nbeing non-white didn't matter. Him not being an ethnic group that would engender good will from voters did. /offtopic

There seems to be the test and supporters jersey there on different players. The cut of them looks all over the place actually. The furthest left definitely isn't a player jersey - just look at the loose sleeves.

It looks like a standard asics running top, though with the crest it'd itch the nipples off you.

The Asics supporter jerseys (the last SA one anyway) are thin and flimsy like soccer shirts.

Not too my liking at all. I could be swayed if the test was nicer though.

Presume the test version is the one on the 2nd link. Doesn't look too bad... Wouldn't be mad on it tho.

When is Irish one out? Might ask for one for me birthday in July.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,719 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

Seen worse than the Wallabies one. Looks a bit 7's-ey.

Probably around that time. The training gear is out a few weeks, so probably the new jersey in time for the August warm up matches. I'd be surprised if its a huge departure from the already brand new jersey this season.

Cheers. I haven't bought a new jersey in years so would prefer to wait for latest one (presuming its not muck).

CCC will likely have a new test jersey template for the RWC so could be different enough.

I always wait for a world cup edition jersey before making a purchase so I can get one without the sponsors logo.

Went for the "test" editions for the last 2 world cups. The intervening 4 years might mean a move to the supporters jersey this time.

Blk have USA, Romania, Fiji and Samoa on Lovell.

Not massively taken on any. I usually check how many Xs before the L they offer in the Samoa though. :D Still only the XXXXXXXL

I love that Fiji one. Very hard to find Fiji jerseys of any ilk on the internet.

I actually think the above are great jerseys. All pretty clean with a little bit of cultural embellishment on them.

Certainly miles better than the Australian one.

The Rugby World Cup shop is doing pre-orders of all the World Cup 2015 jerseys. Here's the Fiji one for £60.00.

Yeeeeeah, I'm usually in the market for second hand ones around the 10 euro mark, which is probably why I find them hard to source :D

Is the V-neck getting deeper on the CCC jerseys?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 657 ✭✭✭exiledelbows

What's with the red ring bottom left? Is it 'pull for emergency Steffon Armitage substitution' or something?

Can't remember where I read it, but apparently the Irish one will be revealed July 14th.

I do like the look of that.

Anyone ever buy a macron rugby shirt?

Their designs for soccer jersies tend be be quite good, but the actual quality of them is pretty poor in my experience.

They'll never beat that Saltire away jersey they had a few years back. Best Scottish shirt ever and it only got about two outings.

I find it a bit weird how the prices vary between the different countries. I don't mean Tier 1 vs Tier 2 etc either. Maybe the company making the jerseys has a say. Bad luck if you want to buy an England Home Test 2015 jersey, you'll need a mortgage.

The Ireland test special super edition one is €150 + postage.

    Only in size L too.

Works out dearer than the England one too. #StrongPound

It looks like an AB RWC jersey will be £65, which seems cheap compared to what prices are usually if I'm not mistaken.

On the one hand, it is very tempting to buy a jersey sans AIG, on the other hand the jersey says RWC 2015, which if it comes to represent another defeat by France at Cardiff in a quarter-final is somewhat less appealing...

In any case, I can guarantee 2 things: the regular jersey will be black, and the alternate strip will not be grey...

AB jerseys are generally very boring. A white trim up the sides or something wouldn't go amiss.

Bold new direction they're taking the jersey.
