What would people see as the main pluses and minuses for each?

Trying to weigh up which to go for as a family car with 2 toddlers (both 2 years old)

We had a Megane Estate for two years. Never gave any trouble, had excellent load capacity and the 6 speed gearbox/110bhp engine was decent. We had the gt line spec and the seats were light years ahead of the standard seats. Good spec overall. My father has the fluence. Neither of us are fans. Not great in comfort and don't like the five speed at all. It's also rotten to look at. It's been flawless as well though.

Mechanically they are pretty much the same car. It will really boil down to which one is more practical for you.

    Hi,
What car did you go for.
I'm currently looking at Fluence. 1.6TDI saloon 2012
But would consider a Megane with similar or better spec ?

Seen the seats from the Megane gt. They seem really comfortable.

It is more/less the same car, with different body styling.
Fluence is a saloon (with horrible boot hinges!), Megane being a HB/Estate.

TDI is branding for VW engines. Renault did not sell diesel 1.6 for very long time, 1.5dCi in various version (put into Nissans and even Mercs) is their thing.
