Hey all!1 Is it possible for a substitute to be sent off? I saw in a game recently that a substitute verbally abused a linesman, had his name taken and was allowed to later come on and score a winning goal in a hurling club game. Is this permissible or just poor refereeing? The player was later given a 12 week substitution…

Yes. It is within the referee's remit to send any player off before, during or after the game.
