Wing mirror light gone, 08 vw golf

Put my car through NCT failed on the LED light in the wing mirror not working. Rang garage and they said these lights should last for the lifetime of the car and it could be the wiring to it. Any ideas?!!

see if you disassemble mirror enough to find wires going to light. Use a mutimeter to see if power is there.
If you are not comfortable doing this take it to a garage or auto electrician.

Simple fix you can buy a replacement led slot on ebay or go to local motorfactors but VW will sell them also.

They are very easy to do and there are youtube clips on how to do it.

I think they're about €27 from vw. 30 to 40 minutes to replace if you're used to doing them.

They're very common to go.
